Located in the north of the vibrant city of Shanghai, Shanghai Enhance Anting Golf Club offers a premier golfing experience that stands out in China’s bustling golf scene. Designed by the legendary Robert Trent Jones Jr., this 18-hole course spans a vast area, featuring meticulously crafted landscaping that blends in with the natural terrain.
Characterized by its extensive use of water, Shanghai Enhance Anting Golf Club also boasts strategic bunkers that not only create compelling views but also form the course’s major hazards. Each hole has its own layout with each bunker varying in shape, size and direction. Bunkers and water become visible and permanent hazards while wind is an invisible and unlucky killer.
There are eight free-form lakes of varying sizes scattered throughout the course and connected to large concrete pipes underneath, allowing water to flow throughout the course and become a scenic attraction. The eighteen holes are played through lovegrass and fescue, native grasses that define the contours of each hole, which turn golden in the fall, contrasting beautifully with the emerald green playing surface.
In addition to the golf course, Shanghai Enhance Anting Golf Club boasts a host of amenities designed to meet the needs of its members, including the clubhouse, an architectural marvel that offers luxurious amenities, including a pro shop stocked with the latest golf equipment, locker rooms and dining options featuring exquisite local and international cuisine.
