The dry South African winter months of June, July, and August are particularly good, with lower humidity, clear skies, and comfortable temperatures of 15°C to 24°C on the coast. The wet summer season from November through March brings warm and humid conditions, with January and February the heaviest rain months. King Shaka International Airport north of Durban has direct domestic flights from Johannesburg (approximately 1.5 hours) and Cape Town (approximately 2 hours). Several international airlines also serve Durban directly. Durban Country Club is about 30 minutes from the airport in the Berea Ridge suburb.
