Binh Duong was always the quiet golf option for Ho Chi Minh City players — close enough to reach before the heat builds, far enough to feel like a proper escape from the urban density. Since the July 2025 merger that brought the former Binh Duong Province into the expanded Ho Chi Minh City municipality, the courses are technically now within city limits. The drive is still 30–45 minutes from central HCMC, and the quality hasn’t changed.
Twin Doves Golf Club is the most popular of the area’s courses, and the 27-hole layout explains why. Three nine-hole loops — Luna, Sole, and Stella — each with their own design character give the course genuine variety without requiring a venue change. Players who visit regularly rarely get bored, and the international-standard conditioning holds up well year-round.
Song Be Golf Resort holds a different kind of significance: widely considered Vietnam’s first international-standard course, it carries the kind of history that newer builds can’t manufacture. The 9-hole layout in a natural woodland setting is more accessible than the longer championship tracks, and for golfers who want a relaxed round with genuine character, it remains a solid choice.
The broader Binh Duong area rewards a slightly longer stay. Thien Hau Pagoda is one of the most atmospheric Chinese temples in southern Vietnam. The modern shopping areas around Binh Duong New City provide a contrast to the older trading town character of Thu Dau Mot. And the spa and dining facilities at some of the golf resorts here are notably good — better, in some cases, than you’d find at comparable courses closer to the HCMC city centre.
