That is the spirit of the Department of Tourism (DOT) Philippines when organizing the Southern Luzon Swing: Golf Playing Familiarization Tour, recently at leading golf courses in Batangas and Cavite. Local and international golfers came to event
The journey began at the Manila Marriott Hotel with a welcome reception for international delegates and golf course representatives. The formal space, exquisite menu and professional organization created a friendly feeling for everyone. This was a great time to connect, exchange information and open up new cooperative relationships.
GolfLux also had the opportunity to meet directly with partners from the Philippines, thereby understanding more about the development direction of the local golf industry.
The second day took attendees to Summit Point Golf and Country Club in Batangas. The course is known for its design style simulating famous golf courses in the world. Golfers really enjoyed the diversity of each hole, from strategic bunkers to multi-level greens. This is a course that brings a sense of challenge but not too much pressure, suitable for both intermediate and experienced players.
GolfLux noted many unique details that could become highlights when introducing the Philippines golf tour to international customers.
Mount Malarayat on the third day again brought a quieter and closer-to-nature experience. The course is located in the middle of a large valley, surrounded by green hills. The cool temperature, light wind and open scenery help golfers feel more comfortable during the game. This is also a course that many delegates highly appreciated for its level of maintenance and fairway quality.
For GolfLux, Malarayat course has great potential for groups of guests looking for relaxation, combining golf with resort.
The last day of the familiarization tour series is Eagle Ridge Golf and Leisure Club in Cavite. This is a massive golf complex with many courses designed by the world’s leading architects. The stage here is considered the most challenging of the entire journey thanks to the diverse terrain and many holes with high tactical nature. Golfers must concentrate more and calculate each shot carefully. The moment the whole group took souvenir photos under the afternoon sun created a beautiful memory of the Southern Luzon Swing.
In addition to three rounds, the event also included dinner parties, art performances and B2B connection activities between Philippine golf courses and international travel agencies. These meetings helped GolfLux better understand the policies of the courses, the 2026 plan and the development strategy of golf tourism in the Philippines.
The video during the gala night moved attendees as they looked back at memorable moments throughout the four days. This was the highlight that brought a sense of completeness to the event.
