I'm finally back from that Hue and Da Nang golf trip Minh at GolfLux put together, and honestly, it was a blast. I’m always a bit skeptical of "organized" tours because they can feel a bit clinical, but this one actually had some soul to it.
The golf itself? Tougher than I expected. Those coastal breezes are brutal if your swing is even slightly off, but the views almost make the triple bogeys worth it. I keep thinking about a few specific holes where the wind was just whipping off the water it’s a totally different game than what I’m used to.
Minh really nailed the logistics, too. The hotels weren't just "functional"; they were actually places you’d want to hang out in. And the food don't even get me started on the Hue cuisine. It’s lightyears better than the watered-down "tourist" meals I've had on other trips. Exploring the Citadel and the old parts of Hue gave the whole week a bit more weight, so it didn't just feel like we were living in a golf bubble.
If you’re itching for a mix of solid golf and actual culture, I’d give Minh a shout. It was a hell of a trip.
