Fujian Golf Tour 7 Day

0 review

Seven days, three cities, four golf courses. This Fujian golf tour starts in Fuzhou, moves south through Quanzhou, and finishes in Xiamen, covering the best of southeastern China’s coastline along the way.

You’ll tee off at Fuzhou Fuxing Bay Golf Club, where the wind off the ocean makes club selection interesting. Then Quanzhou Bay, set between the mountains and the sea. In Xiamen, two rounds: Orient Golf & Country Club, which hosts professional tournaments, and Xiamen International Golf Club, the only Jack Nicklaus-designed course in China. That last one is worth the trip on its own.

Between rounds, the itinerary covers real cultural ground. Quanzhou was one of the biggest trading ports on the Maritime Silk Road, and you can still see it at Kaiyuan Temple and the Qingjing Mosque, the oldest surviving mosque in China. In Xiamen, the ferry to Gulangyu Island (UNESCO World Heritage Site) takes about ten minutes, and the car-free streets there feel like a different century.

Meals lean heavy on Fujian seafood. Hotels are 4-5 star throughout. All transfers are private, so you’re not waiting on group buses. Your English-speaking guide handles logistics, and a 24/7 local support line covers everything else.

Honestly, Fujian is one of those golf destinations most people outside China haven’t considered yet. That’s part of what makes it good.

Full Itinerary

Your Fujian golf journey begins as you arrive at Fuzhou Changle International Airport. A private driver meets you at arrivals and transfers you to your hotel in the city center.

Once settled, take an evening stroll through Sān Fāng Qī Xiàng (Three Lanes and Seven Alleys), Fuzhou’s beautifully preserved historic quarter. This sprawling network of lanes dates back to the Ming and Qing dynasties, lined with traditional courtyard residences, artisan workshops, and atmospheric teahouses. It’s one of China’s finest examples of classical urban architecture and a gentle introduction to Fujian’s deep cultural heritage before the golf begins tomorrow.

Your golf journey begins at Fuzhou Fuxing Bay Golf Club, a striking seaside layout where the course hugs the coastline and ocean breezes play a constant role in club selection. The design takes full advantage of its waterfront setting — expect wide views across the bay, strategically placed bunkers that reward accuracy, and fast, well-maintained greens that demand a confident putting stroke. It’s an invigorating way to open the tour, with the sea air and coastal scenery providing an unforgettable backdrop.

After your round, head to Drum Mountain (Gushan), one of Fuzhou’s most iconic natural landmarks. At the summit, you’ll visit Yongquan Temple, a 1,000-year-old Buddhist monastery nestled among ancient banyan trees. The mountain also rewards you with sweeping panoramic views over the city and the Min River below — a perfect way to cool down and reflect on the day’s round.

The evening wraps up with a welcome dinner showcasing Fujian-style seafood, known for its delicate flavors, light broths, and emphasis on freshness. Dishes like Buddha Jumps Over the Wall and seafood congee are local specialties worth savoring.

Included: Private transfers, hotel accommodation, one round of golf (green fee + caddie), Drum Mountain visit with entry fee, breakfast and lunch.
