Today you will play at the prestigious Sunshine Golf Club, awarded Asia’s Top 100 Golf Courses in 2022. The greens are characterized by large areas, fast speeds and many hidden paths, creating a tournament-level challenge for players. Sunshine Golf Club also has Asia’s first-class golf driving range with 40 practice spots, 20 for general golfers and the remaining 20 for member golfers.

Spend the afternoon exploring Kunming Flower and Bird Market. Walking along this market, you can not only see countless colorful flowers with a pleasant fragrance but also enjoy the chirping of many birds. In addition, you can also shop for unique antiques, jewelry or handicrafts. It is truly a new challenge to feel the local life.

In the evening, try the iconic dish “crossing-the-bridge noodles” at a local restaurant.

Explore the Stone Forest southeast of Kunming, a natural wonder of towering limestone formations formed over millions of years. An old local saying goes, ‘If you have come to Kunming and not seen the Stone Forest, you have wasted your time’. The Stone Forest is one of Yunnan’s most important attractions and a World Heritage Site. As you walk through the Stone Forest, you will be amazed by the natural stone masterpieces and fascinated by the intricate rock formations. The majestic, strange and steep landscape creates countless labyrinthine scenes, including: the Main Stone Forest, the Secondary Stone Forest and the Naigu Stone Forest, all of which feature rocks of various shapes.

After lunch, visit a local Yi or Sani ethnic village to learn about the traditional costumes, dances and crafts of one of Yunnan’s oldest ethnic groups. You will return to Kunming in the evening for a cultural dinner and possibly a local performance showcasing traditional folk music and dance.

Today, you will return for a second round at Sunshine Golf Club, giving you a great opportunity to experience the lush scenery and varied challenges of the course again.

After golfing, you can spend the rest of the day relaxing or exploring more of Kunming’s charming urban atmosphere. Finish the experience with a leisurely dinner at a local restaurant specializing in mushroom dishes, a highlight of Yunnan cuisine.

Today, play a round at the Jack Nicklaus-designed Mountain Course. Set in a plateau, the course features dramatic elevation changes and sweeping views of the beautiful Yang Zonghai Lake, framed by native pines and rocky outcrops. The course takes advantage of the natural undulations of the terrain, maximizing golfing strategy with the challenges of side hills and elevated greens and tees.

In the afternoon, relax at the hotel with a massage, take a walk by the lake or watch the sunset over the hills.

In the morning, head to Lijiang Ancient Town, an ancient town recognized by UNESCO. You cannot miss the famous attractions such as Jade Dragon Snow Mountain and the ancient streets with handicraft shops. Each place has its own story, making your journey more interesting.

Then, visit Black Dragon Pond Park, which includes many landscapes for visitors to enjoy and take pictures. There is the vast Lijiang Lake with clear blue water, ancient relics such as Longshen Temple (Dragon God Temple), Deyue Pavilion, Suocui Bridge and Hanyue Stage, etc. Each scene brings you different feelings and experiences.

The highlight of the day is a visit to Yulong Snow Mountain, one of Yunnan’s most iconic natural attractions. You can set off around 7 am to enjoy the pleasant morning weather. At this time, the snow and ice on the mountain remain intact, creating magical silvery layers of snow. In addition, you will witness the rebirth of nature in the Blue Moon Valley. Don’t miss the Impression Lijiang show, a stunning outdoor performance directed by Zhang Yimou, featuring local Naxi, Bai and Tibetan artists.

Then, visit Baisha Village, one of the oldest Naxi settlements, and explore the unique Bai & Zang customs of the area. The evening ends with a traditional Yak hotpot dinner, perfect after a chilly mountain adventure.

Have time to shop, take photos and sip local Pu’er tea. In the evening, enjoy dinner by the lake while watching the sun set behind the Cangshan Mountains.

Visitors to Shangri-La will have the opportunity to experience the diverse cultures of indigenous peoples, participate in traditional festivals and enjoy delicious specialties. In addition, you can also explore Dukezong Ancient Town, famous for its rotating prayer wheels and colorful prayer flags.
