Accessing the club is fairly straightforward through the KESAS highway or the Federal Highway. Night golfing is possible here from 4.00 pm to 7.00 pm, but players are permitted to finish their games beyond that time as well. The Woodland loop is the one everyone talks about; it’s basically carved out of thick jungle. It’s a bit of a trip playing there at night with monkeys watching you from the trees. It’s definitely not your standard, boring country club vibe, and it can be a little unnerving if you aren’t used to the local wildlife joining your flight.
Kota Permai Golf & Country Club
Kota Permai Golf & Country Club has undergone a recent renovation and has been updated with a new interior design concept of “Tropical Elegance.” The expansion covers a total area of 7,265 square feet, with a particular focus on enhancing the facilities that would be most beneficial to golfers, including floodlights for the night golf experience. The primary areas that have undergone significant extensions include the male and female changing rooms, as well as the starting point for golfers.
A night golf game at Kota Permai Golf & Country Club starts at 04:30 pm to 05:30 pm and ends before 10:00 pm. The green fees for a night golf experience are the same as those of a day round. And, players can choose a 9-hole or 18-hole game.
Horizon Hills Golf & Country Club

What I like about playing there is that the trip doesn’t end at the 18th hole. You can finish a round in the morning and be sitting at a hawker stall or heading to a beach by the afternoon. It works well for a quick three-day hit, but if you have a week, you can actually see the contrast between the city clubs and the more remote coastal spots. It’s less of a “sterile resort” experience and more of a proper trip that just happens to have really good golf attached to it.
