Laos is becoming a serious contender for golf trips in Southeast Asia, mostly because it offers something the bigger hubs lack: peace. You aren’t fighting crowds here. Golfing in Laos feels like a bit of a secret compared to the packed courses in Thailand or Vietnam. It’s still a developing scene, but that works in your favor if you’re tired of crowded clubhouses. You’ll find most of the play concentrated in Vientiane and Luang Prabang, where the courses are carved into the hills or run right along the Mekong.

Long Thanh Vientiane Golf Club
Long Thanh Golf Club Vientiane is the first 27-hole golf course in Laos, considered to be the most beautiful and international standard golf course in Laos. The golf course is located 1 km from Vientiane and is located in a special duty-free area. The course is set on relatively flat terrain but has some artificial mounds and water hazards to challenge your skills. The golf course also includes carefully planned bunkers and wide fairways, as well as trees and flowers that create a more gentle atmosphere. While the East Course has water hazards, forests and protected greens, the West Course is more open with many wide bunkers and undulating fairways, providing a unique and impressive golfing experience.
The golf course also has modern and quality facilities including a beautiful driving range and two putting greens. The clubhouse is modern and luxurious, with large changing rooms, an international restaurant and a full pro shop. You can even play golf here at night thanks to the floodlights on the golf course. In particular, all the golf course staff are men, and although their English is quite limited, their golf knowledge is quite good.
Pakse Golf Club
