Apo Golf and Country Club was built in 1968, making it the oldest golf course in Davao City, Mindanao, Philippines. It is the only club that has hosted the Philippine Open outside of Luzon.
Apo Golf and Country Club is an 18-hole par-72 course stretching over an area of 7119 yards. Greens, fairways, water hazards, sand traps, and bunkers are strategically set up throughout the course to keep players on their toes till the end of a golf round.
Not to be surprised, Apo Golf and Country Club has 64 bunkers surrounding greens and fairways. The greens are large and covered with Zoysia grass, while the fairways are a bit tricky with a combination of Bermuda and Carabao grass. Playing golf at this course requires good shots and accurate swings. The first nine holes have wide fairways and back-to-front sloping greens, while the others have many twists and turns.

From the 10th hole, players can get a panoramic view of Mount Apo – the highest mountain peak in the Philippines.
