Ayutthaya Golf Club is located in Ayutthaya, about an hour and a half driving from Bangkok center. The locally designed and well-maintained course is relatively easy to play with generous fairways and large greens. Outside the playing area is short rough in which balls sit up nicely. The 13th hole is a long 495 yard par-4 and the most challenging on the course. Care should be taken to avoid the water hazard on the left side. The second shot is a long carry to a well-guarded green.
The clubhouse and other facilities in Ayutthaya Golf Club are better than most area courses and the dry sauna in both the men’s and ladies changing rooms is a nice touch usually on reserved for higher priced Thai golf courses. A basic restaurant serves up tasty local and international dishes.
The Ayutthaya Golf Club is well-suited for high handicappers looking for an enjoyable golf experience.
