Chuan Chuen Golf Club (also known as Flora Ville Golf & Country Club), opened in 1998, is one of only a handful of Nick Faldo-designed courses in Bangkok. The course is located to the North of Bangkok – near the old Don Muang Airport and is set in a large housing estate. A lot of old trees and a rich bird population add to the natural golf experience.
Chuan Chuen Golf Club is a pleasant woodland course suitable for all skill levels. Well-maintained fairways, usually embanked by side water hazards frame most of the holes. Accurate tee shots are a must for good scores as many of the holes play as doglegs. The greens are small and fast, but mostly flat.
The clubhouse and other facilities are adequate with basic locker rooms and a decent Thai restaurant. Even so, Chuan Chuen Golf Club makes for an enjoyable day of golfing in Bangkok and is one of the better-valued courses in the Bangkok area.
