Myotha National Golf Club

Myotha Industry Park, Myotha, Myanmar

Myotha National Golf Club in Myanmar is an 18-hole course that is widely considered to be the best in the country. Located in an industrial zone 50 kilometers south of Mandalay, the course covers a sprawling 688 hectares and features an impressive 7803-yard layout.

Myotha National is known for its challenging design and unique desert-like environment, with dry, scrubby terrain and deep arroyos winding through the course. The course boasts wide Zoysia Zeon grass fairways and undulating, multi-tiered Champion Bermuda grass greens, as well as rugged features and deep bunker complexes.

The dry conditions at Myotha National Golf Club make for fast, hard fairways and plenty of roll-outs, making it an ideal course for players who enjoy links golf. The course offers a range of notable holes, including the 3rd, a unique S-shaped par 5, and the 5th, a shorter par 3 with an elaborate waterfall and rockwork right of the green.

The back nine also has several standout holes, including the 12th, which has one of the biggest tiers in the center of the green in Asia, and the 13th and 16th, both par-3s with picturesque canyon and island green settings. The closing two holes at Myotha National Golf Club, the par-5 17th and the 500-yard par-4 18th, both require nerves and distance to score well.

Golf carts are recommended for players due to the long distances between holes and the hot daytime temperatures in Mandalay. Overall, Myotha National Golf Club is a challenging and unique course that offers a memorable golfing experience for players of all skill levels.
