Penang Turf Club

Jalan Batu Gantung, 10450 George Town, Pulau Pinang, Malaysia

Founded in 1948, Penang Turf Club came into being under the watchful guidance of Tom Verity, a former professional at the Royal Selangor Golf Club. Its origins consisted of a 9-hole layout, which gradually transformed into a full-fledged 18-hole course. Notably, an innovative touch was added with 9 holes ingeniously integrated within the racing tracks – a distinctive hallmark of this course’s design.

However, as of 1 December 2014, the Top 9 portion of Penang Turf Club has been closed. This development, shaped by history and innovation, has brought both evolution and change to the course’s landscape.
