The ELS Club at Dubai Sports City is an 18-hole par 72 links-style golf course designed by Ernie Els. It is Els’s first design in the Middle East and the first completed venue in the multi-billion dollar Dubai Sports City.
This 7538-yard course features undulating terrain, rolling fairways, and sloping greens. Greenside bunkers and grass swales abound in The ELS Club, making the game more of a challenge. There are also desert plants and numerous dunes set up throughout the course, creating the feeling of playing golf in a desert. Despite the long fairways, this club still caters to players of all abilities thanks to four sets of tees on each hole.
The ELS Club is an ideal destination for both golf beginners and professionals. It was voted the “Best New International Course” by Links Golf Magazine and “Best New Facility of the Year” by Troon Golf in 2008. One year later, it was recognized as the “Best Golf Couse in Dubai” by CNBC Arabian Property Awards.
