Clark City, formerly home to the largest American Air Force Base outside of the United States, has seen significant growth in recent years due to international influence from the US Air Force, WWII Japanese occupiers, and Spanish conquistadors. This can be seen in the city’s monuments, street names, food, and more.
Located in the foothills of Mount Pinatubo, the Mimosa Plus Golf Course – Acacia Lakeview Course takes advantage of the natural landscape created by a volcanic eruption. The parkland style course, designed by Robin Nelson in 1994, features gently rolling fairways and originally had 18 holes. After removing much of the ash from the previous course, Nelson added an additional nine holes, bringing the total to 27.
Baguio, located on the island of Luzon in the Philippines, is a mountain town known as the “City of Pines.” It is popular in the summer for its unusually cool weather.
The Camp John Hay Golf Course in Baguio is one of the Philippines’ most well-known courses, featuring an 18-hole layout designed by American golfing legend Jack Nicklaus and bentgrass greens.
