Golf Courses in Jakarta
Jakarta has about 35 courses within the city limits and dozens more in the surrounding areas, making it one of the densest golf hubs in the region. While the city is mostly known for its urban sprawl, the golf courses are surprisingly well-maintained and are often designed to a higher standard than what you’d find in other regional capitals.
Since the city is right on the coast, some of the northern tracks play right along the Java Sea. It’s a good spot for a dedicated trip because the infrastructure is already there – the clubhouses are huge, the caddy service is professional, and you can usually find a high-end round for a lot less than you’d pay in Bali.
If you’re planning a trip to Indonesia, Jakarta is worth considering as your main base. You have enough variety to play a different course every day for a month, and the quality of the facilities is consistent enough that you aren’t gambling on the conditions.

Royale Jakarta Golf Club
Bob Moore Jr. & JMP Group have designed Royale Jakarta Golf Club, which is considered one of the top five new golf courses in Asia. The course boasts a green paradise concept, with 27 holes of expansive meadows adorned with Sea Isle Supreme Paspalum, complemented by exotic purple plants and tranquil lake waters that provide both a challenging golf experience and visual serenity. This exclusive golfing destination offers beauty and difficulty, right in the heart of Jakarta.
Royale Jakarta Golf Club is conveniently located just 15 minutes from central Jakarta and can be easily accessed via the city toll road, a mere 700 meters from the Pondok Gede toll exit. Its comfortable and strategic location makes it an ideal destination for a golfing excursion.
Location:Â Cibinong Bogor, West Java, Indonesia
Jagorawi Golf Country Club
If you can only play one course in the greater Jakarta area, Jagorawi makes the strongest argument for that slot. It’s the only golf club in Indonesia with 45 holes of championship golf, which alone sets it apart from everything else in the market. The course stretches beyond 7,200 yards and carries a slope of 138, numbers that reflect a layout designed to challenge scratch players while remaining genuinely enjoyable for social golfers playing from the appropriate tees.
The Cibinong Bogor location, about 45 minutes south of the city center, means you get noticeably better air quality and course conditions than the inner-city options. Players who have made the drive consistently report that the standard of fairway and green conditioning here exceeds what you find in central Jakarta. The three 9-hole loops also give you flexibility to play 18 or the full 45 across multiple visits.

Cengkareng Golf Club
Cengkareng Golf Club, operating since 1999, is a semi-private establishment that accommodates both members and visitors. It has already become the preferred choice of the ex-pat and local communities in Jakarta. The club boasts exceptional personalized service and upholds international hospitality standards. Furthermore, the championship golf course is maintained in pristine condition all year round.
The club has earned a prominent position in event management after successfully hosting the 2005 and 2008 Indonesian Opens, which were part of the European PGA tour. Millions of television viewers worldwide watched these tournaments, cementing Cengkareng Golf Club’s reputation as a leader in event management.

Damai Indah Golf Pantai Indah Kapuk Course
The PIK Course at Damai Indah Golf is one of Jakarta’s heavy hitters, designed by Robert Trent Jones Jr. to play directly into the coastal landscape. Instead of clearing out the wetlands, the course incorporates them, meaning you spend a lot of the round navigating water and marshy areas.
It’s a par 72 that runs about 6,048 meters. While it’s built to host international tournaments, it doesn’t feel impossible for a casual player, though the sea breeze can make the back nine much harder than it looks on paper. The variety here is better than most, you have to think about your shots rather than just hitting as hard as you can.
It’s a good pick if you want a round that feels tied to the local geography. It’s well-kept, the caddies know the breaks on the greens, and the coastal setting is a nice change of pace from the more urban courses closer to the city center.
Location: Jl. Rancamaya Utama Ciawi – Bogor 16720
Rancamaya Golf Country Club
Rancamaya is the place to go if you want to see your ball travel significantly further. Since it’s sitting at a higher altitude, you’ll usually pick up an extra twenty meters on your drives. Ted Robinson designed the course, and he used the elevation changes and a series of linked lakes to create a layout that’s as much about the views as it is about the play.
It’s a par-72 course that doesn’t get old quickly. The staff are proactive about switching up the tee positions and pin placements, so the hazards that were easy to avoid on Tuesday might be right in your landing zone on Wednesday. You have to be smart with your club selection here, not just because of the water, but because the thinner air changes your usual math.
It’s one of the more unique rounds you can play near Bogor. It’s well-maintained, and while the waterfalls and lakes are nice to look at, the real draw is the technical challenge (and that ego-boosting extra distance).

Hello,
maybe the "Royale Jakarta Golf Club" is the best.
But you have to be at least 2 person to book a reservation, what as a tourist is mostly impossible.
Was very disappointed, they didn't let me book a time slot, so I changed to Jakarta Golf Club, there is was no problem.
Thanks
