7 Days Northern Coastal Golf Trail Tour

A full day at leisure. Breakfast is available from 6.30am. Several optional activities can be arranged: a full-day Hanoi highlights tour covering the Mausoleum, Temple of Literature, and Old Quarter with lunch; a half-day pottery session at Bat Trang Ceramic Village; an Old Quarter street food evening with banh cuon, BBQ, and egg coffee; a Vespa food tour through the city; or a half-day Jeep tour. None are mandatory. The day is yours to recover from travel or explore the city at your own pace.

After breakfast, your driver takes you just over an hour from Hanoi to BRG Kings Island Golf Course for your round on the King Course. Designed by Jack Nicklaus and opened in 2018, the layout ranks in Vietnam’s top 10 courses and stretches to 7,310 yards from the tips. Wide fairways and complex bunkering define most holes, and two demanding par-3 holes test accuracy regardless of handicap level: the 196-yard fourth and a 232-yard par-3 with water fronting the green. A dedicated caddie accompanies you throughout the round. After golf, transfer back to your Hanoi hotel.

After breakfast, your driver takes you approximately two hours east of Hanoi to Hai Phong’s Do Son Peninsula for your round at Dragon Golf Links. Greg Norman Golf Course Design built this 27-hole coastal links on a sweeping stretch of northern coastline, with long fairways, white sand areas, and the hallmark coastal winds that make the course play differently depending on the direction and strength of the breeze. The setting along the ocean gives Dragon Golf Links a character unlike anything inland in northern Vietnam. After your round, your driver takes you north to Ha Long for the overnight stay.

A free day alongside one of Vietnam’s most recognised natural landscapes. An optional Ha Long Bay day cruise is available through GolfLux: a 7 to 8-hour experience departing from Tuan Chau Marina, covering limestone karst formations, Sung Sot Cave, swimming at Titop Island, kayaking, and a seafood lunch on board. For those who prefer to stay closer to the resort, Ha Long’s waterfront area has seafood restaurants, beach access, and resort facilities within easy reach. Nothing is scheduled unless you want it to be.

After breakfast, transfer to FLC Ha Long Bay Golf Club for your third and final round of the trip. The Par 71 course plays to 6,092 yards from the tips with Paspalum turf from tees to greens, ensuring consistent playing surfaces year-round. Ha Long Bay is visible from most fairways, with limestone karst formations and sailing boats forming the backdrop throughout the round. The layout prioritises playability alongside scenery, though the course management demands are enough to keep experienced golfers engaged. After golf, your driver returns you to the Ha Long hotel for a final evening.
